A Little About the Teacher. I am an eastern NC native, born and raised in Greenville, NC. I was a bit of a trouble maker when I was in high school at D.H. Conley until I was in a terrible car accident at 17 which left me in quite a mess.
Afterwards I straightened up, graduated from PCC and started working at the Carolina Bargain Trader magazine as a graphic designer. I stayed there for eight years until I heard that South Central High School was looking for a new Adobe teacher.
Early in the fall of 2015 I was hired to be the new Adobe design teacher at South Central High School and I leapt at the chance. I taught Adobe Visual Design to three different classes. This class encompassed Adobe Photoshop CC, Adobe Illustrator CC and Adobe InDesign CC. We went in that order and by the time the first project was due in Photoshop I was truly amazed at what the students could do. Soon any preconceived notions I had were blown out of the water. Above you will find the course load that I went through with the kids.
While a lot of our basic learning was done through some tutorials that I transcribed and went through verbally, we soon outpaced these lessons in each program. The kids desire for more knowledge on the subject was inspiring and I tried my best to offer any help I could.
Within the Projects button you will find all of the other projects we did through out the semester. It was my goal to keep everyone working within the programs to help build a practical knowledge of how the Adobe suite worked. We did projects that I hoped would peak and keep their interest. I am so proud of all the hard work they did and the astounding results that came out of it. I hope you enjoy.
